Reimagining
Our

Dear Community Partner,

Welcome to FIRST Robotics Team 801 Horsepower. 2022 will mark the 20th anniversary of our team, which is remarkable. Our team is comprised of students from Edgewood, Merritt Island, and Cocoa Beach High Schools along with home schooled students. The depth and breadth of this organization touches the lives of many students from diverse backgrounds who are all actively involved in designing and building robots. All of our students have a true passion for STEM, and show promising futures in such industries.

For the last five years, Brevard County Fire Rescue has graciously shared their extra garage with us as the hub for our team. However, as they grow with the rest of us, they need this space back and have asked us to relocate with ample notice. But when one door closes another opens. 801 Horsepower has now been given the exciting  opportunity to focus on building our forever home. But we can’t do it alone! We are going to local companies and asking for their help in building a lab dedicated to educating the next generation of STEM professionals.

Thank you for your consideration and willingness to give our students the necessary resources to develop the skills to accomplish their dreams!
